Nathan Villar's appointment as ACG Sunderland Principal in 2007 led to the school's growth in both enrolment and subject specialisation. Under his leadership, ACG Sunderland has significantly matured academically, pastorally, and socially, earning recognition in the West Auckland community.

Nathan received his education on the North Shore, where he completed a double major in Science, majoring in Geology and Geography, at the University of Auckland. Following that, he pursued postgraduate studies in Teaching.

He has taught in various schools, both state and independent. Before assuming the role of College Principal at ACG Sunderland, Nathan served as the Deputy Headmaster of Westlake Boys, where he oversaw curriculum development and all aspects related to teaching and learning, including the implementation of Cambridge qualifications.

Nathan is an avid sports enthusiast and has achieved national titles in rowing. In recent years, he has also taken part in Ironman competitions and is passionate about cycling, introducing the sport to ACG Sunderland in 2008.

Jules Robson

Jules Robson is an accomplished educator with a wealth of experience at senior levels, specialising in the field of Biology. With a deep passion for the subject, Jules has dedicated a significant portion of his career to teaching and assessing the Cambridge biology curriculum. His commitment to education extends beyond traditional academics, as he is also an author of the marine science syllabus.

Furthermore, Jules is a well-rounded individual with interests outside of education. He is actively involved in the world of martial arts and takes on a leadership role in this domain, running a dojo located in West Auckland.

Sheba Butler

Sheba Butler has been part of the ACG Sunderland community for over ten years. She has held many roles in management within the school from Primary Dean through to Head of Mathematics, Head of Visual Arts and managing both the learning support and ESOL programmes. She has played a pivotal role in the education of many students over this time. 

Sheba completed her Education with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and then further completed a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary). Sheba is passionate about education and is committed to supporting students to great academic success within a holistic and supportive school environment.
