Held in Auckland’s renowned Eden Park, the Awards Dinner provided a platform to formally recognise those students whose results in the 2019 Cambridge International Exams placed them Top in New Zealand, and in many cases, Top in the World.
Now in Year 13 at ACG Sunderland, Junheng (David) Li, was awarded Top in the World for AS Level Mathematics (where he scored 100%) and Top in New Zealand for AS Level Chemistry (with his score of 96%).
And after graduating at the end of last year, two of the school’s alumni, Chase Leathard and Erin Geraghty, donned their uniforms one final time to mark their 2019 results. Chase received Top in the World honours in AS Level Physical Education while Erin was awarded High Achievement (Top in New Zealand for a smaller subject) in AS Level English Language.
“Both Lawrence and I have responsibilities with regards to Cambridge Examinations being offered here in New Zealand and are very proud of our contributions; however, having students from our school cross stage at the Awards evening certainly is the icing on a very special cake!” Nathan explains.
Acknowledging the success of New Zealand’s top scholars, the event honoured academic excellence from across the country, applauding the hard work and dedication of students and teachers alike.
