“The new building will be situated on the land directly behind the old preschool area, maximising the available space on our campus. It has been designed with careful consideration of our students' needs,” said ACG Principal Nathan Villars.
The new building will incorporate two science rooms, a science prep room, eight classrooms, and a Senior Student common room that will double as an examination centre. The versatile space will not only cater to students’ academic requirements but also provide a comfortable and conducive environment for study and examination periods.
“We are also pleased to announce that the project will involve the creation of new tennis courts and a playground area. These recreational areas will serve as a dedicated play space for our Primary school students during interval and lunchtime, as well as for everyone during physical education lessons,” said Villars.
Construction of the new building is set to commence in August/September of this year, and the estimated completion time is around 14 months. The new tennis courts and playground space will be available for Primary school use starting from Term 4.
“This enhancement is part of an ongoing review of our facilities to ensure we’re providing the best learning environment for students,” said Villars. “It’s an exciting development in the evolution of our school.”
