Crowning a year of exceptional academic performances, senior students at ACG Sunderland have enjoyed fantastic results in the recent Cambridge International exams, including a perfect A-Level pass rate for the fifth consecutive year.
ACG Sunderland’s overall Cambridge pass rates for 2021 show an extremely high level of accomplishment, further cementing our standing among the top schools in New Zealand.
- A-Level: 100%
- AS-Level: 92%
- IGCSE: 91%
Additionally, the number of top grades awarded was truly outstanding. Across our senior school, 39% of A-Level papers received an A* or A (80% or better) grade result.
Student attainment at an IGCSE level was similarly a cause for delight. An impressive 47% of our Year 11 IGCSE papers earned A* and A grades – an improvement of 6% on our 2020 marks.
Special mention must also be made of Cedric Siriwardana. Now in Year 12, the standout student received international honours in the 2021 Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards and was recognised as Top in the World for IGCSE Design & Technology.
While our focus remains on providing a well-rounded and holistic education to allow all students to maximise their potential and achieve to the best of their abilities, these outcomes are sure to solidify our academic reputation over the coming years.
