ACG Sunderland Scholarships

At ACG Sunderland, students can apply for 3 different kinds of scholarships: an Academic Scholarship, which can be awarded to students from Year 7 to 13, and provides a partial reduction of the annual tuition fees; an ACG Founders' Scholarship, which is awarded to an existing student to provide them with assistance towards their university fees; or a Sibling Scholarship, for families of 4 or 5 children enrolled at our school. We encourage all eligible students to apply for a scholarship programme.

ACG Founders' Scholarship

The ACG Founders’ Scholarship was established to honour all those who contributed to the creation of ACG Schools, which began with the launch of Senior College of New Zealand in 1995.

First introduced in 2018, one ACG Founders' Scholarship (valued at up to $75,000 over three years) is awarded annually. The recipient will be a domestic student currently studying at one of ACG’s secondary schools in New Zealand and who plans to commence a course of university study the following year. It may be held in conjunction with other awards.

This life-changing scholarship recognises outstanding academic ability as well as personal qualities for future success, such as integrity, leadership, boldness of vision, exceptional drive, energy and a capacity for work.

The 2020 recipient of the ACG Founders' Scholarship, Junheng (David) Li is studying a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine (BMed/MD) at the University of New South Wales. The ACG Sunderland alumnus is thriving in Sydney and plans to pursue a career in medical research.

"I am very grateful for the ACG Founders' Scholarship, which has helped contribute to my academic journey and make my dreams of studying at an overseas university a reality. The financial support provided by the scholarship has allowed me to focus on my academic studies in a new country and enabled me to give back to my parents. As a result, I intend to continue to participate in charity events and work hard to benefit the community, especially New Zealand." - David Li.
