ACG Founders' Scholarship

The ACG Founders’ Scholarship was established to honour all those who contributed to the creation of ACG Schools, which began with the launch of Senior College of New Zealand in 1995.

First introduced in 2018, one ACG Founders' Scholarship (valued at up to $75,000 over three years) is awarded annually. The recipient will be a domestic student currently studying at one of ACG’s secondary schools in New Zealand and who plans to commence a course of university study the following year. It may be held in conjunction with other awards.

This life-changing scholarship recognises outstanding academic ability as well as personal qualities for future success, such as integrity, leadership, boldness of vision and exceptional drive, energy and a capacity for work.

As the 2020 recipient of the ACG Founders' Scholarship, Junheng (David) Li has just completed the first year of his Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine (BMed/MD) at the University of New South Wales. The ACG Sunderland alumnus is thriving in Sydney and plans to pursue a career in medical research.

“I am very grateful for the ACG Founders' Scholarship, which has helped contribute to my academic journey and make my dreams of studying at an overseas university a reality. The financial support provided by the scholarship has allowed me to focus on my academic studies in a new country and enabled me to give back to my parents. And as a result, I intend to continue to participate in charity events and work hard to benefit the community, especially New Zealand.” – David Li.
